About
Understanding your money shouldn't cost your privacy
We're building the money app we wanted for ourselves — private, global, and genuinely clear.
Our mission: give everyone a clear, private picture of their money — without asking for the keys to their bank.
Most money apps start by asking for the keys to your bank. We didn't want to do that. The statement your bank already gives you has everything needed to understand your spending — so TrackYourPenny starts there. You upload it, and in seconds you see where your money actually went.
But a list of categories isn't enough. Real statements are messy — cryptic UPI strings, one-off merchants, festival splurges, EMIs. So instead of an AI that silently guesses and quietly gets things wrong, we built one that asks when it isn't sure, learns your answer as a rule, and never writes anything to your books without your say-so.
Under the hood sits a proper double-entry ledger, so your numbers always reconcile. On top sits a chat assistant that answers from those real numbers — not made-up ones. That combination — a trustworthy core and a helpful, restrained assistant — is the whole point.
We're starting in India — tuned for rupees, UPI and festival budgets — and rolling out worldwide from there. It's early, it's free during the beta, and we'd love your feedback.
What we value
The principles we build by
Privacy first
We'd rather ask you to upload a file than ask for your bank password. That constraint shapes every feature.
AI that assists, never overrides
The assistant makes you faster; it never makes decisions for you. You confirm anything that touches your data.
Clarity over dashboards
Not a wall of charts. A clear answer to 'where did my money go, and am I okay?'
Honest about what's real
We tell you plainly what's shipped and what's still being built. No vapourware in the marketing.
